Rain forces schedule change at Talladega
Rain on Thursday at Talladega Superspeedway forced NASCAR to scrap two scheduled practices for the Nationwide Series and has also changed the Sprint Cup schedule at the track.
As a result, the lineup for Saturday's Aaron's 312 has been set by owner points. Elliott Sadler will lead the field followed by Ricky Stenhouse Jr., Kevin Harvick and Joey Logano.
Nationwide qualifying was scheduled for Friday afternoon. Instead, the Sprint Cup drivers will be on the track for a 45-minute practice starting at 2 p.m. Happy Hour will run at 3:30 p.m.
Sprint Cup qualifying for the Aaron's 499 is still scheduled for Saturday at 12:10 p.m. The race will be held Sunday at 1 p.m.
