Joe Gibbs Racing officials remained mum on their 2013 plans except for the fact that they hope that Joey Logano remains a part of the organization.
Roush Fenway Racing driver Matt Kenseth, who announced last month he was leaving his current team for a undisclosed organization, is expected to drive for JGR next season. Kenseth has consistently said over the last month that he cannot talk about where he will drive next season but hopes to be able to say soon where he will drive in 2013.

Logano, who is in a contract year, has not signed with anyone for 2013 and said Saturday that he was keeping all his options open. He often is being talked about as a possible replacement for AJ Allmendinger at Penske Racing.
For Logano to stay at JGR, it appears that JGR would have to add a fourth Cup team. To do that, it would need sponsorship. JGR President J.D. Gibbs said if they got sponsorship for a fourth Cup team, they could get one put together quickly.
“We’re still working on it and digging so hopefully in the near future we’ll have our plans (set and can reveal them),” Gibbs said Sunday. “Our goal, we want Joey to be with us forever. We’re still working hard on that.”
He said he didn’t think JGR must offer a full-time Cup ride for Logano to keep him.
“We’ve talked several different things,” Gibbs said. “I don’t think that is definite, but it would make it easier.”
